Salt Lake City firefighter was hit by a drunk driver and is recovering after fire crews were dispatched to a fire alarm in Salt Lake City. The firefighter tried to stop the man trying to drive between the fire trucks and parked cars but officials say the suspect ignored the warning and continued to drive.

The drunk driver hit the firefighter and kept driving according to police. The firefighter was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The police arrested the suspect and are facing charges of DUI, hit and run, and failure to obey the public official and filing a false police report.
